Corporate
Governance Statement
As a central reference point for companies to understand
stakeholder expectations and in order to promote and restore
investor confidence, the Australian Stock Exchange convened
the ASX Corporate Governance Council in August 2002. Its purpose
is to develop recommendations which reflect international
best practice.
The ASX Corporate Governance Council has developed a set
of guidelines entitled, Principles of Good Corporate Governance
and Best Practice Recommendations. This document articulates
10 core principles that the ASX Corporate Governance Council
believes underlie good corporate governance. Each principle
is then explained in detail, with implementation guidance
in the form of best practice recommendations.
